How Many Artists Supposed To Be Known By Real Names For Royalty To Work? – Stonebwoy Asks GHAMRO Chairman, Rex Omar For Saying He’s Not Known By Real Name
The issue of royalty system for Ghanaian musicians has reawakened. After Stonebwoy revealed the amount received from the Ghana Music Right Organisation(GHAMRO).
Stonebwoy disclosed the amount of money received from GHAMRO to Ghana’s UK High Commissioner. Ever since he started doing music in Ghana. Which got him in shock.
According to him, the Ghana Music Right Organisation has paid him only GHS 2,000 for all the years in the music industry, producing numerous hit songs.
Subsequently, Stonebwoy, the Ghanaian dancehall artist revealed the money he has received from GHAMRO. Rex Omar, who is the chairman for the organisation, has responded to the claims.
He said, a lot of people do not know Stonebwoyb by the name Etse Satekla.
This response from Mr Omar to Stonebwoy has got Mr Logic not conceding with him.
He stated on DayBreakHitz on Hitz FM 103.9.
“The bit where Rex Omar said a lot of people do not know Stonebwoyb by the name Etse Satekla. I think it wasn’t right for him to say that”
Moreover, Stonebwoy has responded to the GHAMRO chairman, Rex Omar.
