Lydia Forson Backs Sarkodie On Unprofessionalism Among Local Champions Radio Personalities
Days ago, multiple award-winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, well known as Sarkodie, made a statement about local radio presenters. It didn’t sit down well with most of the them.
However, actress Lydia Forson has seconded Sarkodie on his claims.
In an interview, Sarkodie said that local radio personalities do not have the moral right to criticize him for not being at equality with his colleagues in Nigeria.
According to Lydia Forson, people in the eco-system need to grow and that is not limited to just the artistes but also Radio and Television personalities.
In a tweet, she says they do not necessarily need to go to BBC but they need to grow in their career.
“You can’t be marching at the same spot and asking the person next to you why they haven’t moved. I think Sark just meant the media should hold themselves to the same standard they hold artist to. I mean it doesn’t have to be BBC or CNN,but you need to equally grow.”

Below is what Sarkodie said;
“It is easy for somebody to sit on radio and say Shatta Wale hasn’t done this, Sarkodie hasn’t done that. I’ve not said we the artistes don’t have work to do. But If you’ve been on radio in Ghana for close to 20 years and have not moved on to Choice or BBC, I don’t think you have the moral right to talk about artistes in Ghana who have not gone International.
It was Komla Dumor who made me get my first BBC Interview because he’s Ghanaian he gave me the opportunity. Abrantie made me play indigo because he’s Ghanaian and has access so he put me on. So the whole ecosystem is you people should move not only artistes,”.
