Mark Okraku-Mantey Started Blocking Me Because He Wants To Kill My Career – Shatta Wale


Shatta Wale says the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mark Okraku Mantey has been trying to end his career.

The singer has been accusing industry gatekeepers of sabotage following his non-inclusion into the Global. Citizen concert which was held in Accra on September 24.

According to Shatta Wale, Mark has for a long time been using his influence in the entertainment industry to black ball him and make him irrelevant.

In interview on Accra-based Metro TV with Paul Adom-Otchere, Shatta Wale alleged;

“…..musicians have been poor in Ghana ooo. We have seen musicians that have come and gone and come and gone, we always try to talk to them like this. And they don’t even say their feelings. me, my heart is worrying me, I want to get money…

“Do you know when Mark Okraku-Mantey started blocking me? Started saying that I won’t make it, I won’t get anywhere in my life?”.

Shatta Wale said Mark used his position as manager of Accra-based Hitz. FM to deliberately push an anti-Shatta Wale agenda while promoting other artists to take his spot.

According to him, the Deputy Minister himself once spoke about how he spearheaded an agenda against him after he (Shatta Wale) refused to honour to be interviewed on Hitz FM.

“Mark Okraku-Mantey is the problem of this whole music thing, they are deciding. When he was Programmes Manager at Hitz FM, he said on the radio that because they were calling Shatta Wale for an interview. And Shatta Wale didn’t come, so, they decided to create their own hero which was Stonebwoy…
