Entertainment pundit, Mr Logic has urged musicians to pay “payola” to have their songs played on-air every day.

Mr Logic said musicians should pay payola to get their songs played on-air every day, that’s the only way their music will fetch them more royalties.

As a pundit on DayBreakHitz with Andy Dosty on Daybreak, he disclosed that Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO). Has made an announcement. And has agreed with some companies to monitor. And track how songs of Ghanaian musicians are being played, how it is doing on radio, television and digital platforms.

“This is the time to pay payola so you can benefit. Now you have to pay payola to be paid. Go and pay payola so the DJs can play your songs so you can be paid” he said.

His comment comes after dancehall artiste Stonebwoy called out GHAMRO. For paying him only GHc2,000 since he signed his right to GHAMRO.

Mr Logic believes that the new system GHAMRO introduced. After Stonebwoy called them out will help fix them through all measures the organization has taken.

“The system has been fixed. GHAMRO has fixed the country. So all you need to do is to pay to be played so you can be paid,” he added.
