We Are Top Artistes, We Don’t Need Someone’s Platform To Blow – R2Bees On Why They Don’t Perform At Wizkid’s Concert

Outstanding music duo, R2bees, made up of Omar Sterling and Mugeez, have talked about the speculation that they always follow Nigerian singer, Wizkid but not perform on the bigger stages with him.

According to R2Bees, they move when they want to move and if they on want to be on stage with Wizkid, it is easier for them to.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s Dorin Avio, R2Bees revealed that Wizkid has given them enough support in their musical career, and they need to reciprocate the same energy.

“It’s a problem for us because we move when want to and if wanna to be on stage with Wizkid, it pretty much easier for us to do that but we just wanna strengthen our corners before making a major move.

In some way, it’s a brotherhood, 2 weeks before we went to America, we had a show in Kumasi Wiz was in London at the time when he arrived, we were in Kumasi already, he wanted to come to Kumasi but obviously, there was no flight at the time he arrived and wanted to come to Kumasi. What I’m trying to say is, this is a guy that supports us massively, he comes to our shows”, they said.

They further added that Wizkid follows them to shows and all that.

“He had not performed the whole of 2020 but he followed us to Tema for a street show, a free show we were doing for our community and actually came on stage too. He didn’t wanna come when we were going cos he told me he didn’t want to perform but when we got there he came on the stage so what’s wrong if we reciprocate, try and go support him. We are top artistes and we don’t necessarily need someone’s platform to blow”.
